Do you know how secure your password is?

We all know that a strong password is crucial for safeguarding your accounts and personal information, but do you know what constitutes a strong password?
Do you know how easy it is for attackers to crack your password if it is not strong?

Eight characters is not going to cut it - Aim for a password that is at least 10 characters long.  The availability of cheap systems to crack passwords means that longer passwords are safer.

Password123 - NO!!! Refrain from using common dictionary words. Password is one of the most common (and easy to crack) passwords used.

Mix it up - Combine both upper and lower case letters and throw in some numbers, and if you are feeling really tech savvy, add in a special character (or two)  The exponentially strengthens your password.

Don't make it personal - Avoid using birthdays, addresses, or phone numbers as part of your password, it will just make it easier for the attackers to guess your password.

Be Unique - Don’t give the hackers access to everything!  If they manage to crack a password, but you have used the same password for all your logins, for everything, they will have access to everything, all your accounts, all your information.

A strong password can help protect your information and your online identity, don’t waste time, protect yourself and your clients now!
